I had told Caroline that I had hoped I could come to Newfoundland some day to visit. My heart is broken that I missed the opportunity to be with my friend again. James and Griffin, I hope that some day I can see you and your dad to share memories of your mom from her Florida days. Even though it has been almost 10 years since you moved back to Canada, your mom made life long friends in Florida. I remember your mom taking you to see Thomas the Tank Engine in Tavares, Christmas concerts, getting Scamp and many more. You knew from how she spoke that you boys and your dad were the love of her life. I know I am a better person, a better nurse, a better teacher and a better mom because I had Caroline in my life! Bruce, George, Cameron and I all extend our sympathies to you. Caroline always supported and loved my son Isaac - He can not express grief and memories they way that the rest of us can, but he knew that Caroline was one of the good people in the world. In his own way, I know he will miss her too.

My deepest condolences to Caroline's family and extended family. I taught Caroline in jr. and sr. high, and have many fond memories of her. She was a very special person, and I was devastated to hear of her passing. I can still see that beautiful smile every time I think of her. She was always so friendly, caring and kind, hard-working, eager to lend a hand, volunteer her time and talents, and get involved in everything. She was full of fun and had a real zest for life. No doubt Caroline carried all those qualities into adulthood, positively influencing all those around her, both in her personal and professional life - and that in essence is a life well-lived. May she rest in peace! And may you, her family, take comfort in knowing so many care, and are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

Junior and boys, Margie, Dermot & Connie, Billy & Annie, and all Caroline's extended family; we am so sorry to hear of Caroline's passing. As years go by we lose touch with those we spent our younger days with roaming "the paths" as my grandfather would say. Mark and I both went to school with Junior and Caroline and like us- they were high school sweethearts. Junior, I can only imagine the pain you are feeling and will feel for the days ahead. I was looking at pics of your boys and realized that my son and your son play basketball against each other all the time, he always stood out every time I saw him but I could not place it...
