Obituary of Gary Whittle

WHITTLE, Gary Louis – In the early hours of March 13, 2024 at the age of 62, the angels called Gary Louis Whittle to heaven. He passed away peacefully with his three children, Crystal, Lindsay and Brandon by his side. Gary was born in Placentia Bay, Newfoundland on February 16, 1962 to Anna and William Whittle, the youngest boy of ten. He is survived by siblings Bill, Doris, Cathy, Dorothy, Dan, Barb and pre-deceased by Greg, Georgina, Joseph and Theresa. Gary was the much loved ‘Poppy’ to Tyson, Nathan, Cassidy, Jessica and Mya. His kids and grandkids were his pride and joy. Gary’s love of cars started during his childhood and teenage years when he worked in Tommy Collins garage in Newfoundland. In 1986 he moved to Toronto to work with his brother at A.G. Simpson’s, an automotive parts company. His love of cars continued through his whole life, helping countless family members and friends with their automotive needs. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 12:00 noon at Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough. Followed by a reception.
